Home Healthcare Provider Co-op
Our Mission
Working together to benefit members with shared resources to strengthen the home healthcare workforce.
In a unified effort to strengthen the home healthcare workforce in SE Ohio and lower the cost of doing business, a group of home health agencies has come together to form the Home Healthcare Provider Co-op. As a legally formed cooperative recognized by the State of Ohio, the HHPC has partnered with local educators and is working toward ensuring quality home healthcare through standardized training.
The HHPC is a member of the South Central Manufacturing Network Purchasing Cooperative. The SCMN offers a variety of member benefits to both employers and their employees (see details inside).
Over the next ten years, the 60+ population growth will create a projected 51% growth rate in the home health industry. Low wages, little or no mileage reimbursement and little to no access to benefits combined with no chance for advancement in the home healthcare field make recruitment, training and retention of home healthcare professionals difficult. In addition, current training practices are not standardized and ongoing support for home health aides to post-secondary education to advance their skills are non-existent. The HHPC is working to address these problems to ensure that care received in the home is quality care.
